Human Resources Generalist




Position Overview: 

An experienced, disciplined, organized Human Resource professional with complete responsibility for recruiting and onboarding programs, while managing other administrative functions relating to benefit programs and employee performance evaluations.  


This position requires an individual with outstanding communication skills; a strategic thinker with a disciplined work ethic, skilled at collaborative activities and able to coordinate teams and individuals along with processes and programs.   


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Directs and coordinates all aspects of recruiting for both full-time and intern positions
    • Identifies organizational needs and requirements
    • Generates open position announcements on a variety of platforms
    • Identifies applicants, screens candidates, and schedules interviews
    • Manages applicant tracking activities and reporting
    • Processes background verifications, coordinate and issue employment offers
  • Organize and facilitate new hire orientations, including benefits overview 
    • Designs and administers onboarding program with organizational members
    • Ensures processes are clearly developed and supported
  • Participates in recruiting events
  • Manages activities relating to benefit administration
    • Third party enrollments
    • Annual open enrollment process
    • Reconciling third party benefit statements for invoice payment approval 
  • Coordinates activities relating to performance reviews and employee development programs
    • Proactively initiate and coordinate activities relating to employee reviews  
  • Track data for compliance reporting including AAP, ACA, EEO-1, VETS, OSHA 
  • Ensure legal compliance for human resources on federal and state requirements 
  • Provide assistance and guidance to management and employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate and/or lead committees on engagement, wellness, or improvements as needed


  • Bachelors’ degree in human resources, business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 5-7 years of recent experience in a human resources position
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with Deltek Vision is a plus
  • Excellent collaboration and team building skills 
  • Able to handle difficult situations and solve complex problems 
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactively manages time and teams to meet critical deadlines 
  • Meets the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism
