Brienne’s approach to lighting design is a unique combination of technical insight, creativity, and design sensibility. She is an integral part of each phase of the design process from initial client interaction to final site focus. In addition to lighting design, Brienne excels in digital modelling, graphic design, and a variety of rendering techniques.
Brienne often serves as Project Manager for in-depth investigations of LED luminaire comparisons including research and evaluation of performance data. She also assists clients with design guidelines, lighting standards development, and complex economic analyses of LED lighting solutions.
She has been invited to speak about leveraging published lighting standards, specification integrity, as well as LED integration and its impact on Construction Administration success.
Brienne holds a Bachelor of Science in Art and Interior Design from Eastern Michigan University and is Lighting Certified through the National Council for the Qualification of Lighting Professionals.
Brienne has served as the president of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) in Detroit, and as the IES Annual Conference Chair. She has been nominated to the IES national Board of Directors for a 2019-2021 term. Brienne is also an Honorary Affiliate of the American Institute of Architects and is an Associate member of the International Association of Lighting Designers.Brienne also received a '40 under Forty' award from Lighting magazine - an internationally recognized lighting design publication.
