Extra Low Voltage Electrical Engineering Design for King Hussein Cancer Center

PBA Provides ELV Design for Jordan Cancer Center

Inspired to serve the needs of a nation by the long-distance cancer journey of their sovereign leader, the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) is the premiere regional destination for the treatment and research of cancer. The KHCC offers the most advanced cancer technology available to date to the people of Jordan.

Peter Basso Associates (PBA) provided engineering and design services to develop a complete set of plans, details and specifications for all auxiliary systems (referred to as extra low voltage or “ELV” in the region). In cooperation with specialty subconsultants, PBA prepared tender documents for the following systems: voice, data and video distribution from the services entrance to the outlets; nurse call; intercom systems; paging systems; lecture hall and conference room mediation; teleconferencing; distance learning; interpretation system; satellite master antenna television system (SMATV); access control; and a building-wide, IP-based video surveillance system. All systems were coordinated and integrated with the architectural and electrical design.
