PBA Provided MEP for UND Compton Family Ice Arena

PBA provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and lighting design services for the new LEED certified 204,856 GSF, 5,000-seat, state-of-the-art, University of Notre Dame hockey facility, which features:

  • A primary ice rink in an arena setting with a total capacity of 5,000 including 4,500 seated spectators plus media and a standing room overflow capacity of an additional 500 spectators;

  • An arena that is easily adaptable so that it can be converted in the shortest amount of time for hosting concerts, trade shows, or other sporting events and activities;

  • A secondary ice rink  that is used as both a practice and performance facility for University and community hockey and skating programs as well as hospitality;

  • A full complement of locker, team, office, weight training, storage, and other support spaces that house the Notre Dame varsity hockey program;

  • And space to support public enjoyment of the facilities including ticketing, restrooms, concessions, club space, and areas for community hockey programs.
