The project challenge presented by Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Livonia was to create an aesthetically pleasing ambulatory surgery center, urgent care facility and mobile MRI on a tight construction budget.
PBA provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design engineering services for a new medical office building to house Mendelson Kornblum Orthopedic’s, an affiliate of Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Livonia. The 2-story project included 23,000 sf of medical office space, 2,000 sf of retail space, 4,000 sf of physical therapy space, 1,000 sf of general office space and a10,000 square foot surgery center. As a result of close collaboration between the architect and contractor, for this design build project, the project came in 10% under budget and features an attractive façade and warm/modern interior, with modern MEP systems that add comfort and ease to its operation and design.
