PBA was brought on board to perform a mechanical, electrical and plumbing design infrastructure systems study, to determine the potential for the consolidation of several departments located within PAR Pharmaceuticals, which provides contract manufacturing of sterile products for pharmaceutical and biotech organizations.
Following the success of the study, PBA was further asked to provide MEP engineering design services for the relocation and expansion of the following lab departments: Microbiology, Research Development, Method Transfer, Chemistry, Sterility and Stability. PBA worked with local contractors to provide the owner budget pricing to help determine the feasibility of the consolidation.
The existing manufacturing facility is located on an 80-acre site and includes a 171,000-foot production building and warehouse. The subsequent renovation and expansion added much needed office, research and development space to the facility.
