Recognizing the need for increased housing options, Oakland University opened its newest residence hall catering to upperclassman with a full-service living and learning environment.
PBA provided mechanical and electrical engineering and lighting design services for the new 7-story, $78 million, Hillcrest Hall housing complex. Each 4-person suite includes private rooms and personal controls for heating and cooling, and each is hardwired for the internet. Each floor of suites is supported by a lounge area, kitchen, laundry facility, and trash/recycling center
The 750-bed residence hall facility also includes a 30-piece recreation room, 400-seat dining hall, a 200-seat multipurpose room, space for private events, and general use smart technology academic classrooms accommodating 200, all enhancing the perception of campus housing and the experience of the students at OU.
