The extensive renovations of Continental Kitchen Services, a catering organization in Metro Detroit, included a complete gut and rebuild of an existing office/lab space.
PBA provided MEP engineering design services and architectural lighting design services for the renovation of the 29,344 square foot facility. The complete rebuild was necessary in order to repurpose the space into an office and test kitchen.
The existing supplemental baseboard heating around the perimeter of the building was removed, restrooms were relocated, and exposed ceilings and skylights were incorporated. The new, state of the art space features 20,000 square feet of an integrated test kitchen, 5,000 square feet of office and administrative space, and a 5,000 square foot event space.
